Ralph Waldo Emerson said "I cannot remember the books I've read any more than the meals I have eaten; even so, they have made me." Probably true for most habits, like sports, too.
Brilliant. A bit hopeless at sport myself but have watched my daughter blossom and grow into maturity replete with character by playing sport. As it happens it has been cricket and I totally get the video!
I get that sports contribute to character development for some kids. But tedious to see again generalizations about this.
Sports are a good place for some kids (and some coaches) to bully and humiliate the less skilled and marginal kids; and for some better players to develop character traits of arrogance, entitlement, competitive win at any cost to others. Thugby anyone?

You need to play sport to understand the benefits. Spectators will only ever be spectators. I couldnt tell if you are a player or just a spectator.
